Dust Testing

In electronic enclosures, dust causes cooling systems to clog up and reduces their effectiveness. Dust testing is one of two standard IP tests which are designed to meaure the effectiveness of an enclosure at preventing dust ingress. Dust can also act as an abrasive when it gets between moving parts.

The settling dust testing chamber can be controlled for dust deposition rate, temperature and humidity. Different standard dusts are used to simulate different types of dust existing in in varyious environments.
