Dust and Water Testing

Our IP testing (dust and water) capabilities are centered around testing of enclosures to determine water tightness or ingres, dust deposition rate, temperature and humidity.dust and water testing

Dust Testing

In electronic enclosures, dust causes cooling systems to clog up and reduces their effectiveness. Dust testing is one of two standard IP tests which are designed to measure the effectiveness of an enclosure at preventing dust ingress. Dust can also act as an abrasive when it gets between moving parts.dust and water testing

Our settling dust testing chamber can be controlled for dust deposition rate, temperature and humidity. Different standard dusts are used to simulate different types of dust existing in in various environments.

Water Testing

Enclosures for outdoor or marine environments are designed to keep rain or wash down water from damaging the electrical components inside. Our water exposure testing capabilities are centered around testing of enclosures to determine water tightness or ingress.

We accomplish this by simulating water test flow conditions that range from a gentle rain fall all the way up to the force of a fire hose.
